You won't have to wait long when we inspect your vehicle

Fast and thorough vehicle inspections

You will enjoy the shortest waiting time around when you bring your vehicle for inspection at Easton Gas Auto Repair. Make sure that your car is in the best shape possible, and adhere to the state law by bringing your car to us for your yearly state inspection.

Contact our locally owned business to set up your vehicle inspection. An inspection includes an exhaust test, tire and wheel checks, seat belt checks, and more. View our list below for full inspection details.

Why should you get your emissions checked?

Making sure that your car is within the state specifications for emissions also means that your vehicle is not putting unnecessary pollution into the air. So, not only is it the law that you get your vehicle inspected but also to keep the air around you and your city easier to breathe.

We test each and every part of your vehicle

  • Brakes
  • Exhaust system
  • Steering and suspension
  • Horn
  • Glazing, glass, and windshield wipers
  • Rear view mirror
  • Lighting devices
  • Tires and wheels
  • Bumper, fenders, and fuel tank
  • Altered vehicle height
  • Seat belts
  • Airbags
  • Fuel tank cap

Get your vehicle inspected at the right time

Your vehicle needs to get inspected every year before the end of the month printed on the sticker. If you purchase a used vehicle, you must get it inspected within seven days of its registration.

Do not worry if your vehicle fails the inspection

If your vehicle fails the inspection, the first thing you should do is get your vehicle repaired. As a full-service shop, we can repair your car right away to get you back on the road.

If your car failed the safety inspection, it must be repaired immediately.

If it failed the emissions test, it must be repaired and pass a re-test within 60 days.

What if your vehicle fails the inspection even after repairs? If your vehicle fails the emission test, you may be eligible for a waiver of emissions standards. If the cost of a repair is not within your budget, you may be eligible for an economic hardship repair extension.

For more information on Massachusetts Vehicle Checks, you can visit the state official website. Our helpful staff is happy to answer any questions.
